I believe in overturning the Citizens United decision. It’s time to get dark money and unlimited corporate funds out of our electoral process. To show my commitment to this issue, I will accept no corporate PAC money.
I believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Quality healthcare and affordable prescription drugs are a basic human right for everyone, especially our veterans.
I believe in protecting our social safety net programs like Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment. These programs protect vulnerable populations in our society, and we need to protect these resources so that these citizens can continue to contribute to our society.
I believe in the fair and equal treatment for all human beings regardless of nationality, ethnic origin, color, religion, language, sexual orientation, gender identification, or any other status. I will protect and defend the rights of all LGBTQIA people, as well as to protect and defend women's rights.
I support common sense gun regulation. Gun safety is not a 2nd Amendment issue, it is a public safety issue.
I believe in a simpler, fair tax code to level the playing field for all Americans.
I support a living wage; workers should share in the profits they help create.
I believe that it is time for a comprehensive overhaul of our immigration system, to better protect those seeking asylum and those who are seeking a better life in the United States, including legal protections for DACA recipients, providing a pathway for citizenship.
It is time that we re-invest in infrastructure in the United States, rural areas (including our very own NC11) need equal access to high-speed, broadband internet connection and investments for clean energy technologies.
I believe we need to protect our extraordinary environment for future generations and to protect our #1 industry in the NC11: tourism!
I support fully protecting Net Neutrality as a fundamental principle of the internet.
I believe it’s time we bring back checks and balances to our government to hold all of our elected officials accountable.
